Nonprofit publisher of Consumer Reports magazine. Very helpful and informative educational materials developed by Consumer's Union advocacy offices on a variety of consumer issues such as health care, food safety, product safety and telecom/utilities.
Federal Consumer Information Center (FCIC)
Features include updates of consumer news and notes from various Federal agencies, and a calendar of consumer-related events. The web site has easy-to-follow links to the most useful Federal web sites; state, local and county consumer agencies; FCIC corporate publishing partners; consumer organizations; and corporations and trade associations with ongoing consumer programs. The most popular FCIC web feature is the Consumer Action Handbook.
FirstGov.gov
FirstGov.gov is the only official U.S. Government portal to 47 million pages of government information, services, and online transactions. FirstGov.gov features a topical index, online transactions, links to state and local government, options to contact your government, and other tools so you don't have to know the name of the government agency to get the information you want anytime you want it.
FTC.gov
Accepts complaints from consumers for use in investigating patterns of possible violatons of law and offers a wide range of publications on loans, home improvements, and consumer rights. (Doesn't resolve individual complaints)
