Leading industry magazine singles out Xceed for
providing a quality workplace for associates
El Segundo, Calif. (August 2016) – For the third year in a row, Xceed Financial Credit Union was among a handful of credit unions nationwide to be honored with the “Best Credit Unions to Work For” designation by Credit Union Journal and Best Companies Group. The national survey and awards program calls attention to credit unions that excel at creating quality workplaces for employees.
“We feel strongly that exceptional associates are the key to our ability to deliver extraordinary products and services to our members, so we try very hard to provide a workplace that values each associate’s contributions and a benefits package that’s among the industry’s most progressive,” said Teresa Freeborn, President and Chief Executive for Xceed Financial. “It’s both gratifying and humbling to have our team honored in this way for the third year in a row.”
The Best Credit Unions to Work For selection process has two steps. First, judges evaluate the credit union’s workplace policies, practices, and demographics. Second, the credit union’s employees complete surveys aimed at assessing their experiences and attitudes about their workplace. The employee feedback, which is anonymous, counts for approximately 75 percent of the total evaluation.
To be considered for the honor, credit unions must have at least 25 employees working in the U.S. and winners are grouped according to asset size: over $1 billion, $500 million to $1 billion, $200 million to $500 million, and under $200 million. The full Best Credit Unions to Work For list for 2016 is featured in the September 19, 2016 issue of Credit Union Journal and online at CUJournal.com.
